This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Clepora Jobs ("we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to the Clepora Jobs web application and related services (the "Service").

1. Who we are

Clepora Jobs provides tools that help job seekers maintain a profile, tailor résumés and cover letters to specific job postings, discover matching openings from third-party job sources, and track their applications. For personal information about users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Clepora Jobs is the "controller" of that information. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at the address in the Contact us section.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect the information you provide and a limited amount of technical information generated by your use of the Service. In the categories used by California law, we collect:

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16, and the Service is not directed to them.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

Under the GDPR, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for), your consent (for optional processing such as certain notifications, and for any sensitive information you choose to provide — which you may withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. AI processing

To generate tailored materials, relevant portions of your profile and the target job posting are sent to our AI model provider (Anthropic's Claude, including via Amazon Bedrock) for processing. We send only what is needed to perform the task. This processing is carried out by a service provider / processor acting on our instructions and is not a sale of your personal information.

5. Third-party job sources

When you request matching jobs, we query third-party job APIs (for example Adzuna, JSearch, Remotive, and Arbeitnow) using search terms derived from your profile. Those providers have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

7. International data transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries whose data- protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal information out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

8. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements).

9. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may exercise them as described in How to exercise your rights. You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your identity before responding.

10. Your rights in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in these regions, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law.

11. How to exercise your rights

To make a request, contact us using the details in Contact us. You can also update your profile at any time from within the Service and request deletion of your account and associated data. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the timeframes required by law.

12. Security

We protect your information with reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including hashed passwords and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses only the storage necessary to keep you signed in (for example, a token stored in your browser). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be versioned, posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and — where the change affects the basis on which we process your information — may require renewed acknowledgement.

15. Contact us
